The Struggle To Integrate Digital Content

Founded in 1966, Summer Discovery provides pre-college enrichment programs located in the United States and abroad. They offer middle and high school students the opportunity to participate in academic programs combining college credit and/or enrichment classes, social activities, travel, recreation, and sports.
Since 2008, Summer Discovery has partnered with us to produce their annual catalog. Our partnership began with our legacy nxtbook software, which simply creates an interactive replica of the publication. The piece has produced generally solid results for Summer Discovery. Most recently in their nxtbook4 based 2016 catalog, they saw a total of 25 link clicks. The following year, still on nxtbook4, clicks increased to 40. The staff at Summer Discovery also noticed another trend in 2017: the percentage of readers who were accessing their catalog from a mobile device was dramatically increasing.
After learning how our PageRaft platform is designed with the best mobile user experience in mind, Summer Discovery made the switch from nxtbook4 to PageRaft for their 2018 catalog. In doing so, they saw substantial increases across several engagement areas – most notably in link clicks. After the switch, Summer Discovery’s catalog had an astounding 1,134 link clicks – with over half of these clicks directing traffic to their website homepage, contact form, and application page.
