Streamlining Creative Excellence with PageRaft at Global Golf Post
Since 2010, Global Golf Post has been a trailblazer in digital publishing for golf enthusiasts, offering weekly golf content to a dedicated audience. However, the rise of mobile readership exposed challenges in their reliance on PDFs, which required pinch-and-zoom navigation, making the mobile reading experience cumbersome and difficult. Recognizing the need for a more responsive platform that upheld their high design standards, the weekly edition transitioned to PageRaft in 2018.
The move to PageRaft revolutionized Global Golf Post’s production process, enabling the team to design stunning, responsive digital issues while streamlining their workflow. The move to PageRaft revolutionized Global Golf Post’s production process, enabling the team to design stunning, responsive digital issues while streamlining their workflow. Speaking on the switch to this digital-first format, Creative Director and Deputy Editor Barbara Ivins-Georgoudiou reported, “My biggest fear was, I’m not going to be able to design anything anymore. When you’re designing [for websites] in WordPress, you’re just putting things in a box. You are very limited.”
With PageRaft, however, Ivins-Georgoudiou found, “You’re only limited by your own imagination, your own creativity.” PageRaft also preserved advertisers’ preference for full-page, impactful ads, a crucial element for sustaining Global Golf Post’s business model.
