When the Boston AF Symposium opted to go with a digital brochure, they also made the strategic decision to design for the medium.

The traditional portrait layout gave way to a screen-friendly landscape design, which elegantly fills the monitor of readers. Font choices and sizes were selected based on easy screen reading. In this manner, users wouldn’t be forced to zoom in to read about conference programs.

Tasteful animation resembling an EKG monitor with the Symposium’s logo showed confirmed for readers that this year’s Symposium would be the most cutting-edge, yet.

Still, the Symposium understood that the floor plan, in particular, should be easily printable so attendees could have it at the ready. For this reason, a special download and print option was utilized, making it simple to have the information they want at the ready.

In this manner, the AF Symposium combined necessary features of print collateral with the technical capabilities of a digital brochure to deliver a unique hybrid to prospective attendees and exhibitors.
