Our Story

From humble reprinting roots to internationally known digital publisher.

The Nxtbook Story begins in the early 1990’s, long before digital was an everyday experience. In fact, our three original partners (Michael, Rox, and Jim) met while working at a printing firm.

Upon uncovering their joy of working with one another, they started their own business that delivered reprinted magazine articles, delivering a high quality product and service to publishers around the country. 

In the early 2000s, a new technology emerged that could digitize reprinted articles for faster turnaround times and wider distribution. The partners saw a big opportunity to digitize entire magazine publications and approached content creators to share this new technology.

Upon finding trepidation as well as genuine interest, Nxtbook Media was launched in 2003 to serve the needs of more digital-focused publishers.  

Today, our fully responsive PageRaft and replica nxtbook4 platforms see over one million readers every month to thousands of digital publications, with the average visitor staying engaged for over 7 minutes per visit. 

Additionally, we have branched out well beyond publishers to serve organizations of all types and modified our platforms to meet the needs of a myriad of industries.
