Survey Says: 12%
August 1, 2012 by Marcus Grimm
Taking a look at all Nxtbook traffic for July, we’re looking at 15% of all readers coming from tablet and mobile devices, close to the biggest month ever. Of this number, more than 50% of them came from the bully on the block, the wonderful, magical iPad.
Most curious to me? The average reader on an iPad stayed inside their digital edition for more than 12 and 1/2 minutes… that’s the average, folks, and takes into account the people who click out after a second. In fact, all tablet and mobile devices combined were more than 11 minutes. Why is this shocking? Because the average of desktop computers was around 8 minutes. That’s right: the mobile and tablet device was more engaged than our desktop audience last month, and that’s the first time that’s ever happened!
