If the Daily Dies, Don’t Be Surprised. But Don’t Be Worried, Either.

According to sources, the "fate of the Daily is being decided," which is kind of silly because its fate was determined from before it even launched. Remember the Super Bowl commercial, for crying out loud? Keep in mind, this commercial, for an app that wasn’t yet available on a device that few people had had at the time put the Daily in the red before it had even begun to breathe and showed us all that those in charge didn’t understand the market potential.

If the Daily dies, it says a lot more about Rupert Murdoch than it says about digital editions.
