Webinar: Freed from the Digital Divide
July 3, 2012 by Joy Curtis
Like many other fields, the higher education industry still feels the digital divide. University, college, and higher ed. research and publishing departments have the same needs they’ve always had: student/alumni interest and financial backing. However, the tools used to meet these needs have changed. Your target audience of new students, loyal alumni, and donors turn to digital technology for their information, and the higher education community has to switch gears to meet them there.
Fortunately, there are those who have gone before you. In a webinar hosted by University Business on Thursday, July 26th at 2:00 pm, you will have the opportunity to hear two speakers report on how the industry is using digital publishing to reach and engage their audiences. Listen in as Rachel Coker of Binghamton University and Sherri Miles from Suffolk University describe their reasons for going digital, and what digital publishing has done to meet their goals.
