Nxtbook UK Growth Fuels Global Production Capacity
May 1, 2012 by Marcus Grimm
A special note from Chief Inspiration Officer, Michael Biggerstaff:
Today, we have reached a milestone in our UK office.
Almost from the beginning, Nxtbook Media has had a foothold in the UK. Unfortunately, our earliest experiences were with a reseller; one which represented the Nxtbook product, but which ultimately didn’t understand the mission, vision or commitment of our company. However, this only served to strengthen our resolve in this blossoming region, so on May 2nd of 2008, Nxtbook Media Ltd. was founded.
We partnered with European Operations Director, Darren Fowler, to run the sales office and picked Manchester as the spot to allow us more flexibility in servicing all of the United Kingdom as well as other points in Europe. Since then, Nxtbook Media Ltd. has steadily grown, and in February, 2012, moved from serviced offices to our own space on King Street in the old financial district of Manchester, a beautiful area and a great location.
Recently, we reached another milestone by converting the King Street location from a being only a sales office to actually producing Nxtbooks as well. Prior to this, all Nxtbooks had been created at our home offices in the US. This change offers benefits to our customers world-wide, as it dramatically increases the hours we are of service to you, wherever you are. We are happy to be enjoying success at Nxtbook Media Ltd.
Though economic conditions have been dreadful for starting a new company, we have taken the same deliberate approach to build the business as we did in the US; through patient, consistent growth. We hired great people that are hard working and have the clients’ best interest in mind at all times. We sought out and found clients that understood our message and we got what they were trying to achieve with their digital editions, making it a terrific partnership.
So congratulations to all of the people involved with making our vision for Nxtbook Media Ltd a success, especially those of you in the UK that work so hard on a daily basis.
Here is to many more years of success!
Michael Biggerstaff
