In amidst all of the chatter about the NY Times heaving to survive, there hasn’t been a lot of talk about their increasingly cool use of animation and graphics on their website to tell stories. Here’s a great profile on the guys behind it. Strangely, there’s a lot of negative chatter buried in the comments of the article. I agree with the writer’s perspective and Michael Turro’s post on the topic – there’s a lot to be admired about the way this team is blending old and new media.
