Two Reasons Why Your Magazine Should Have a Digital Edition Now…

1) Your competition probably already has one. One of the bean counters just told me that December was our second most successful month. Ever. In another month full of Chicken Little news, we finished the year with a bang. Smart publishers are using digital magazines to cut costs. Smarter ones are using them to generate revenue. The smartest ones are doing both.

2) Readers want them. Readership in December was well over the milllion mark (again) and 35% higher than in December of 2007.

3) You’ll get more digital subscribers this year than you would’ve gotten last year. An article on FOLIO shows more publishers are focusing on the Web for their subscription generation campaigns. This should come as no shock, but the greater the percentage of subscriptions you generate online, the greater the number of people will opt for the digital edition.
