To hum an Anne Murray tune from 1983, we sure could use a little good news today. It seems like every day brings more doom and gloom and overall Eeyored-ness to an industry that has the potential to innovate and explode from these times just as well as they have previous days (or perhaps better).
Keep in mind that amidst all the carnage are some awesome success stories. The most recent issue of LiNKED Magazine features publishers making money and building readership right now. Surely there’s an idea or three you can apply to your own organization within those pages.
If you’re a Nxtbook customer, here’s a quick tip: As we’ve said before, 1/3 of all customers are currently using their Nxtbook for revenue generation. However, a recent survey showed that nearly 70% of publishers actively using our Digital Edition Revenue Generation Guide are making money (in addition to saving money on printing and distribution). In other words, you have to make an effort and use the tools available. And if you do that, there’s a better than average chance you’ll succeed.
