Biggest. Month. Ever.
July 2, 2007 by Marcus Grimm
It’s always exciting to turn the page on another month at NXTbook, because it gives us the opportunity to see how usage grows each month. And, since the year is half-way in the rear-view, this month we also get to look at the previous half year. Here’s a few bullet points:
1) June was our biggest month EVER in terms of pages of NXTbooks read and our second biggest month ever in number of NXTbooks opened. This continues a trend we’ve observed for nearly a year now: the growth of our PAGES viewed is faster than the growth of our books opened, despite the fact that the latter is brisk as well. What it means? People like the NXTbook format and will stay in the book if the content is good.
2) Looking at the first six months of 2007 compared to the last six months of 2006, total NXTbook traffic is up more than 20%. As mentioned in the previous post, total NXTbook pages viewed is up 22%.
3) This one is important. Traffic to NXTbooks via search engines in the first half of 2007 is up 85% when compared to the last half of 2006. 85%!! This is a clear indication that the Hybrid Index Flash offered by NXTbook is an effective way of having rich media content found online.
4) Traffic from sites referring people to NXTbooks is also up. Some publishers saw increases in the couple hundred percentage point range. This is a sign that publishers are integrating their NXTbooks into their overall Web strategy.
All in all – 2007 is off to a great start!
